IPL 2025: ‘His attitude is a big reason for our success’, Sai Kishore praised coach Nehra

New Delhi:
The top of the Indian Premier League table, Sai Kishore, the left -handed Gujarat Titans, credited the team’s success to head coach Ashish Nehra, saying that he shares his views directly and clearly with the players. The Gujarat Titans have 16 points with eight wins in 11 matches and the team is very close to the place in the playoffs. Sai Kishore told selected media at the press room program of ‘Star Sports’,’ Ashu Paaji (Nehra) is very clear about his views. He communicates with the players without any lactation. He is the first to be praised for performing well. At the same time, if you wander from the plan of the team, then they tell that they did not expect such. In such a situation, every player is ready to give his best for the team. Kishore has got a chance to play in every match of the team in the current season and this Tamil Nadu bowler has so far contributed to the success of the Titans by taking 14 wickets.

Former New Zealand captain and left -handed veteran Daniel Vettori is also impressed by Kishore’s bowling. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s head coach had said that Kishore has the ability to succeed in limited overs cricket. On the question related to the praise received from Vettori, Sai Kishore said, ‘This is a very encouragement. Vettori has been such a bowler from whom I have taken inspiration since childhood. He had mastered spin bowling. This is a big thing for me.

Kishore said that during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he had a chance to talk to this former veteran. This 28 -year -old bowler said, “Even when we played against him, I got a chance to talk to him and such conversations help a lot.” Kishore also credited his success in the Indian Premier League to Chennai Super Kings and his charismatic captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Kishore was part of the Chennai team in 2020 and 2021, but never found a place in the early XI.

The bowler, who took 192 wickets in 46 matches in the first class, said, ‘Chennai was the first team to connect me with the IPL. He gave me a chance to enter this big league from Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament. I can say that I did ‘internship’ in the supervision of Mahi Bhai (Dhoni) for two years and during this time I benefited a lot from the advice he received. ‘ Kishore has dodged the batsmen several times with ‘Carrom Ball’ in this session of IPL. He had to sweat a lot to master this art.

Kishore said, ‘It is quite difficult for the left -handed bowler to ball. I have to work very hard for this. I have been practicing it for many years and I tried it during the match in the last two seasons, but could not do it properly. This session has improved a lot and I am very happy that it is working. Kishore, who has played three T20 internationals for the Indian team, is once again awaited to return to the national team, but he refused to compare his bowling to another bowler.
