Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Sandeep Sharma said that the performance of Jofra Archer, one of the team’s partner and one of the most dangerous fast bowlers in the world, is constantly being better, which is a good sign for his team. Archer scored 76 runs in four overs in the initial match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. After this, he conceded 33 runs in 2.3 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders. He also failed to take wickets in these matches.
Sandeep told Jofra World Claus bowler
The England fast bowler, however, improved his performance after this. He played his team’s victory with two wickets in the first over in the IPL match played against Punjab Kings on Saturday.
Sandeep told reporters after the victory of Rajasthan Royals, “When you start in any tournament like IPL, there is a lot of pressure. The opposing teams have many skilled batsmen. There was a lot of pressure in the first two matches and I think the same happened to him.”
He said, “We all know that Jofra is a world class bowler. The skill he adds to the team is no match. Very few players are able to do so.”
‘It is very difficult to face Jofra’
Archer dismissed Priyansh Arya and captain Shreyas Iyer in the initial over. Sandeep said, “Our team management and players were confident that the day he would take one wicket in one over or two wickets in two overs, his confidence will increase. He is among the bowlers in the world who are very difficult to face. His performance will also improve as the tournament progresses.”
Sandeep also took two wickets for 21 runs in four overs and made invaluable contribution to Royals’ victory. He said, “We assess the pitch well. We talked to our batsmen about the circumstances and asked them what kind of ball is difficult to play. It helped us a lot.”
