Vikram Solanki, a cricket director of Gujarat Titans, believes that Mohammad Siraj has been ‘extraordinary’ since joining the franchise and this fast bowler should not be judged on some performances. Siraj took three wickets for 19 runs against his former team Royal Challenger Bangalore in his last IPL match and with five wickets he is the second best bowler of Gujarat Titans so far in IPL 2025. Solanki told the media on the eve of the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, ‘This is playing the same role as it is. He is a great bowler. ‘It would be unfair to say such things that things are not going well for them. Whenever he got a chance, he has done well.

Solanki said, ‘Sometimes we expect a lot from many young cricketers. Siraj has achieved a lot. Sometimes we make a hurry to assess one or two demonstrations, but ever since he is associated with us, he has been extraordinary. ‘ Solanki said that Siraj’s role in the team has not been very different, but he definitely benefited from his hard work and efforts made with the team’s head coach Ashish Nehra.

He said, ‘He has very good relations with Ashish and I think you are seeing the fruits of his hard work and his work with Ashish, his conversation with Ashish. I would say that he has been extraordinary. Solanki said that although he was not aware of the conversation between Siraj and Nehra, he praised Nehra for the players for confidence. Solanki said, ‘Look, this is the matter between the coach and the player, but usually the work of the coach has to be confident in the players. Ashish is the master of this art.
