Bollywood victims of sheep!
New Delhi:
Bollywood is currently facing drought at the box office, this year only two films have been successful. In an interview with the Indian Express, actor Randeep Hooda expressed his views on the crisis in Hindi cinema and criticized the fourth attitude of the industry. He also praised South’s film makers for his cultural roots to be true. Randeep criticized Bollywood’s ‘sheep trick’, saying, “This is a trend of social media. The films released once or twice have performed well. It does not mean that everything is going well. If one thing is successful, then similar projects start to be made. Everyone has to make the same. Everyone has to make the same. Due to the crisis, we are now being made a little different in the Ivory Tower.
He further said that the experiment is now possible on the OTT platform only in storytelling. However, he admitted that these platforms also give a registration to such content which attracts big viewers. Randeep expects a balance between mainstream and experimental projects. They choose topics that the audience like.
Randeep Hooda praised the film makers of the south
Praising the South Indian film makers, Randeep said that his story is focused on the original human feelings, making his films more relatives. He said, “They are making our films but with more real characterization. Pushpa does not have six -pack abs – he has a beard and his shoulder is crooked. They are not making character -based films. But people are not going to stop watching films or OTT content – this is just a phase of change.”
