Security has been extended in the national capital in view of US Vice President JD Wance and his wife Usha Vance’s arrival in Delhi on Monday morning. US Vice President, his wife Usha and his three children – Ivan, Vivek and Meerabel will arrive at Palam Airport on Monday at 10 am on a four -day visit to India.
A senior Delhi Police official said that we have already organized a mock drill according to the security protocol for the high -level visit of the US Vice President. Security has been tightened in various areas of Delhi. So that it can be ensured that everything goes smoothly during the journey and no untoward incident happens. ”
He said that the Delhi Traffic Police will also ensure that the traffic remains smooth and their visit in the capital is without any trouble.
People associated with Vance’s visit to India told ‘PTI-Bhasha’ that a few hours after reaching Delhi, Vance and his family would go to Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple and they can also visit a shopping complex selling traditional Indian handicraft goods.
The police officer said, “We have made advance security arrangements at the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple, where the US Vice President will go on Monday evening.” We have done a thorough investigation of the campus and our teams will be posted in the campus on the day of the tour. ”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host Vice President Vance at his official residence on 7 Lok Kalyan Marg on Monday evening. In this meeting, along with discussion on the Indo-US trade agreement, methods of deepening strategic and economic relations between the two democratic countries will be considered.
On April 21, Vance will go to Jaipur and stay there till 24 April. On the morning of 22 April, he will visit the famous Amer Mahal with his family. There he will get Rajasthani traditional reception, in which he will wear Jodhpuri safa and enjoy folk dances, puppet shows, traditional dress and local cuisine. The palace will remain closed for the common people and 12 trained guides will be deployed in their service.
On 23 April, he will go to Agra and see the Taj Mahal. After staying there for about three hours, he will return to Jaipur and also see City Palace. On April 22, he will also meet Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Governor Haribhau Bagde. Vance is expected to leave Delhi on Monday night and after that he will go to Jaipur and Agra.
