Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan started his acting career with the web project Maharaj in which his performance was well received. But do you know that he had auditioned for the lead role in Missing Ladies directed by Kiran Rao but he could not be selected for it. In an interview with Vicky Lalwani on YouTube channel, Junaid told about giving the audition. He told that this role finally went to Sparsh Srivastava. He also auditioned for his father’s film Lal Singh Chaddha.
Junaid said, “You must have seen me in Laal Singh Chaddha because I had given a test for it with Kiran Rao. He played the character of my mother. We shot 7-8 scenes for the film in four days which were about 20 minutes. It was a test for me to see how it worked, because it was a big budget film. New Taking an actor was no less than a risk.”
Aamir was seen in the lead role in the film. Aamir co-produced Laal Singh Chaddha, which was the official remake of the 1994 American classic Forrest Gump. Tom Hanks was in the lead role in this. Talking about auditioning for Lapata Ladies, Junaid said, “Laapta Ladies was a very different scene. I gave a screen test for the film but Kiran just said, ‘Sparsh Srivastava is better for this role. ‘ And I agree with him, he was better for the role.
Despite not being cast, Junaid shared that this decision did not affect his relationship with his stepmother Kiran. He said that his tuning is very good.
