Railways have created ‘holding areas’ at various railway stations in view of the possibility of increasing number of pilgrims during the last week of Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The ministry gave this information on Thursday. Railways have made these ‘holding areas’ (place for passengers stay) at various stations. The Ministry of Railways has issued a statement requesting passengers to follow the official guidelines to cooperate and ensure smooth and safe travel.
The ministry informed that the Railways has set up ‘holding areas’ at various stations of Northern Railway, North Central Railway, North Eastern Railway and East Central Railway. These ‘holding areas’ are installed outside the platform, which will help passengers control and prevent congestion.
The ministry said, “Passengers will be allowed to enter the platform at the time of the scheduled departure of their train. The purpose of this initiative is to improve mob management and increase passengers’ safety. ”
It said that Northern Railway has created a large -scale ‘holding area’ in Ghaziabad, Anand Vihar, New Delhi, Ayodhya Dham and Banaras. The Northeast Railway has also created ‘holding areas’ in Banaras, Siwan, Ballia, Deoria, Chhapra and Gorakhpur.
At the same time, ‘YouTuber’ Ashish Chanchalani has moved the Supreme Court requesting the cancellation of the FIR lodged in Guwahati or to move to Mumbai in the case of alleged promotion of obscenity in an online show. Chanchalani is one of the people named in the case registered in Assam, in which ‘Podcaster’ Ranveer Allahabadia is the main accused due to his controversial comments on the YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latant’.
The petition was given to Justice Suryakant and Justice N.K. Kotishwar Singh has been listed for hearing before the bench. In the petition filed by advocate Manju Jaitley, Chanchalani has requested to cancel the FIR lodged at the cyber police station in Guwahati, Assam. The petition said, “FIR number 03/2025 lodged in Cyber Police Station Police Commissionerate, Guwahati Crime Branch, Assam should be canceled.” Alternatively, YouTuber has requested to transfer this FIR to Mumbai Police Station Nodal Cyber, Mumbai.
