Live: Three Naxalites killed in encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district: Police

An encounter took place between security personnel and Naxalites in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday morning. The officer said that a joint team of security personnel was out on an anti-Naxal operation when the encounter started in a forest under Madded police station area. Three Naxalites have been killed in this encounter.

Linter of building under construction collapsed at railway station

After the accident that occurred due to the collapse of linter of the building under construction at the railway station in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, relief and rescue operations continued for about 16 hours and the teams engaged in this operation returned on Sunday morning. The officers provided this information.
According to the police, on Saturday, more than 20 laborers were buried under the debris of the linter of a two-storey building under construction at Kannauj railway station under Amrit Bharat Yojana. However, there is no news of any casualty in the accident.

Police said that in the relief and rescue operation that lasted for about 16 hours, 28 laborers were rescued from the debris and admitted to the hospital. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team and Railway team remained engaged in rescue operations throughout the night on Saturday and removed the entire debris.

S. will attend Trump’s swearing-in ceremony. Jaishankar

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar will represent India at the swearing-in ceremony of America’s newly elected President Donald Trump on January 20. The External Affairs Ministry said, “On the invitation of the Trump-Vance swearing-in committee, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, elected 47th President of America President Donald J. Will represent the Government of India at Trump’s swearing-in ceremony.

The External Affairs Ministry said in a statement, “During the visit, External Affairs Minister (Jaishankar) will also hold meetings with representatives of the future US administration as well as some other dignitaries coming to the US to attend the ceremony.”
