Prayagraj:
Preparations for Mahakumbh are going on. In such a situation, keeping in mind the Maha Kumbh 2025, North Central Railway has made special arrangements for the convenience of the devotees coming to Prayagraj. Prayagraj Division of North Central Railway has started an innovative initiative to simplify and facilitate the ticketing process using digital technology.
During Mahakumbh, Karmayogi of the Commerce Department of Railways will be deployed on special duty at Prayagraj Junction and will wear green jackets. There will be a QR code printed on the back of these jackets, which devotees can scan from their mobile and directly download the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile app. This app will provide the facility to passengers to book unreserved tickets without standing in line.
With this initiative, devotees will be able to easily get tickets while avoiding crowd and long lines at the railway station. This process of ticket booking through digital payment will not only save time but will also provide a hassle-free experience to lakhs of devotees visiting during the Maha Kumbh.
Railway personnel will serve at stations and various important places wearing green jackets, so that devotees can get assistance related to ticket booking everywhere. On scanning the QR code, you will get a link which will take you directly to the UTS app. Through this, passengers can avail ticket booking as well as other facilities.
This initiative of North Central Railway will prove to be a step towards Digital India and a big relief for the devotees coming for Mahakumbh 2025. This effort of Railways will make the experience of pilgrims even more memorable.
