The veteran actor Manoj Kumar, known as Bharat Kumar, died today i.e. on 4 April 2025. Superstar breathed his last at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. At the same time, his son Kunal Goswami confirmed that the funeral of the superstar will be in Pawan Hans in Mumbai tomorrow i.e. on 5 April. According to the reports, his body will be kept for the last darshan at Goswami Tower at his house around 10 o’clock tomorrow. Meanwhile, the superstar’s son Kunal Goswami while talking about the father’s death told how his condition was at the last moment.
He said, I Kunal Goswami unfortunately, my father Manoj Goswami has died at 3.30 am today. At Kokila Ambani Hospital. He was unwell for a long time. But with great vigor, he has fought everything and is the grace of God. Shirdi Baba is pity that he has gone from this world comfortably. Tomorrow morning he will be cremated. Thank you all people. The disease was going on for many years and after two months he was going to be 88 years old. But he has died in 87. On the question of whom he used to talk to at the last moment, he said, he used to talk to us to his grandchildren and whoever was his little bit. Used to do them all. Was very happy. It was just a little trouble. Because of age.
Regarding Manoj Kumar’s films, Kunal Goswami said that Dad was connected to everyone in real life. He gave films like ‘Upkar’, ‘Roti Cloth and House’, ‘East West’. These films were also relevant during that time and will be further. On expressing condolences by cinema veterans including PM Modi on the death of Manoj Kumar, Kunal Goswami said that I want to thank PM Modi that he has shown his love. Significantly, Manoj Kumar was born on 24 July 1937 in Abbottabad, which became a part of Pakistan after partition. After the partition, Manoj Kumar’s parents decided to stay in India. With this, he came to Delhi. Manoj Kumar saw the pain of partition very closely. It is said that he was so impressed to see the films of Dilip Kumar and Ashok Kumar that he decided to become an actor. Along with this, he changed his name from Harikishan to Manoj Kumar.
