The director revealed, ‘We were all drinking alcohol together (warning- drinking alcohol is harmful to health) and then we signed Manoj Vajpayee late at night for the film, Manoj had paid one rupee fee, Anurag Kashyap wrote the script of the film and had to pay it, so I gave him 15000 rupees and then he wrote the screenplay of the film within 24 hours, and then he wrote the film’s screenplay within 24 hours. I took 75 thousand rupees to write the entire film. The film, which was prepared for just Rs 2.5 crore, had collected Rs 15 crore at the box office. The film became so hit that after this Manoj never looked back.
