Meeting continues in Saudi between America-Russia, talks on ceasefire here- Attack on the border

Negotiations started in Saudi Arabia on Monday, March 24, about the ceasefire in the Ukraine War between American and Russian officials. US President Donald Trump is insisting on ending the war that has been going on for three years and he hopes that the conversation in Saudi may open the path of ceasefire. A day before this conversation, representatives of America and Ukraine had a meeting among themselves.

Both the US and Russia have proposed separate schemes for temporary ceasefire. Meanwhile, attacks on the Russia-Ukraine border continue unabated.

‘Russian President Putin wants Shanti,’ US Ambassador Vitkoff’s big statement

US Ambassador Steve Witchoff said that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to end the ongoing war with Ukraine. He said this before the important meeting in Saudi Arabia.

“I think he (Putin) wants peace.” They believe that this meeting can lead to some good results, such as limiting the war in the Black Sea.

Vitchoff has met Putin twice in recent weeks. These meetings are part of the plan of US President Donald Trump in which they want to end the war between Ukraine and Russia. Vitkoff is confident that the conversation in Saudi Arabia will lead to a step towards peace. He told CNN, “I think you will see some real progress in Saudi Arabia on Monday.”

In Europe, concern is being expressed that Trump is very much trusting Putin. But Vistoff says that Putin really wants peace. He said, “I don’t think he wants to capture the whole of Europe. This is a very different situation compared to World War II.”

Vitkoff believes that western countries should be a little soft in understanding Putin’s intentions.

On Sunday, the US delegation in Saudi Arabia interacted with Ukrainian officials on a possible partial ceasefire between Moscow and Kiev. After this, the US and Russian officials are talking in Saudi Arabia on Monday.

Vicchoff hopes that these conversations may stop the fighting of ships in the Black Sea, and then gradually the entire battle may end. Last week, Putin agreed to temporarily stop the attack on Ukraine’s power structure. But he turned down Trump’s 30 -day full ceasefire proposal.

Trump believes that this 30 -day ceasefire can be the first step towards permanent peace. Ukraine accepted this proposal, but Putin was not ready.

When Vitchoff was asked about Putin’s Western criticism, he said, “I think every story has two aspects.” He also tried to reduce the concern of NATO colleagues of Washington that if Russia could get excited by the agreement and attack its other neighbors.

The Trump administration has cut several programs and foreign aid of the US government. It also includes a government project, which monitored the children to be taken to Russia on a large scale from Ukraine. This project was running a human research laboratory of Yale University.

White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz said that the US is discussing some confidence steps in the conversation between Russia and Ukraine. These include the future of Ukrainian children who were taken to Russia during the war.

Waltz told CBS News, “We are talking about many confidence steps. This is one of them.”

Ukraine says that thousands of its children Russia took force. He called it a war crime and said that it falls in the definition of the Gen’s Hosure Treaty of the United Nations. But Russia says that it took out the people of their own will and saved the weak children from the battle.

When asked about the targets of widespread peace to Waltz, he said, “After the Black Sea Charism is agreed, we will talk on the Line of Control, which is the real front line.” He added, “This includes the verification system, peace installation, where they are, there are details of stabilizing the lines. And then of course, broad and permanent peace.”
