During an interview recently, Mukesh Khanna told how the famous comedian ignored him. Because of this, Mukesh refused to come to the Kapil Sharma show for a special episode of Mahabharata. The dispute between them started at the award function. The whole matter started at the Gold Awards years ago when Kapil, who was new in the industry, ignored him despite being sitting next to him for about 20 minutes.
Kapil did not help Mukesh Khanna, even when he was being awarded the award. Talking on this issue, Mukesh said, why do I not like Kapil Sharma and why I refused to go to his show, and this story should be an eye -opening story for everyone, so that they can understand how the film industry actually works.
Mukesh further said, “In the Gold Awards, I was being given an award and Kapil Sharma, who was born in the industry, came next to me and sat next to me and he did not even wish me. He ignored me. He sat there for about 20 minutes and as soon as his name came, he took the award and took home.
Mukesh felt humiliated by Kapil’s behavior, especially when senior artists from other industry like Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan have honored him despite not working together. Mukesh said, I have met Amit ji many times on the flight. I was coming back from London and that too. We did not know each other but they knew that both of us are actors, so we talked. Hrithik Roshan and I stood at the airport and met me and told me, ‘Two superheroes are standing at this airport at this time.’
Mukesh Khanna criticized Kapil Sharma citing double meaning dialogues and indecent jokes. He refused to appear not only due to his previous issues, but also due to a scene in which Kapil wore Shaktimaan dress. Mukesh considered it an insult to the character’s values.
