These ships are carrying 40 tonnes of humanitarian aid for earthquake affected Myanmar. Apart from this, India has also sent 15 tonnes of relief material to Myanmar on Saturday. This material has been sent to the city of Yangon in Myanmar via C30J military transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force.

PM Modi said on X that as a close friend and neighbor, India stands in solidarity with the people of Myanmar in this difficult time. Under Operation Brahma, disaster relief materials, humanitarian aid, search and rescue teams are being sent rapidly to the affected areas.
  10. A team of 80 NDRF personnel is being sent to the earthquake affected Myanmar for relief and rescue operations. An official said that under ‘Operation Brahma’, NDRF personnel are being sent with earthquake rescue equipment like strong ‘concrete cutter’, ‘drill machine’, ‘hammer’ etc. to help the neighboring country. PK Tiwari of the eighth battalion of NDRF posted in Ghaziabad near Delhi will lead the USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) team. The official said that the team is also taking the investigative dogs along.
