Myanmar Thailand Earthquake Live Updates: Thailand and Myanmar, bursting roads, 20 killed due to earthquake

Powerful tremors of earthquake were felt in Myanmar on Friday. Shocks were also felt in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, where hundreds of people came out of buildings. According to media reports, the German Research Center for Geochetines (GFZ) said on Friday that a 7.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in Myanmar. No immediate information was given by Myanmar about the damage caused by the earthquake. The GFZ said that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 mi) near Mandale city. Myanmar is one of the world’s most seismicly active areas.

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed concern by tweeting. He has written that I am worried about the situation after the earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. I pray for everyone’s safety and prosperity. India is ready to provide all possible help. In this regard, we have asked our officers to be ready. Also, the Ministry of External Affairs has been asked to stay in touch with the governments of Myanmar and Thailand.
