Neetu Chandra’s petition will be heard on this day
New Delhi:
The hearing will be held on March 28, 2025, to stop the pornographic songs filed by film actress Neetu Chandra in Patna High Court, on March 28, 2025. A division bench of Acting Chief Justice Ashutosh Kumar heard this PIL. The court asked the Central Government to clarify the situation in the next hearing. The court commented that this PIL is being filed.
In this PIL, the petitioner said that the song Maniyak composed by Yoyo Honey Singh alias Hirdh Singh is quite vulgar. In this, women have been depicted obscenely. It was said that they have been commercialized by painting them like a consumption item. It states that women are shown as sex symbols. Their other vulgarity increases with the second words of songs. Their effects have a bad effect on children, women and all sections of society. The use of Bhojpuri language words is very poorly portrayed.
It has also been said in the PIL that dirty things and abuses for women are being openly done in Bhojpuri songs. There is neither any restriction nor any kind of guideline was issued on them. It was said in the petition that the Indian Constitution has the right to speak in fundamental rights and express its feelings. But it also has a limit. There is a provision for legal action against those who violate it. These should be strictly implemented.
