Nawazuddin Siddiqui is known for his strong acting, but there came a time when veteran actor Rishi Kapoor questioned his performance. The controversy began when Nawazuddin made a comment about Bollywood’s romantic films, which Rishi Kapoor did not like. In fact, Nawazuddin Siddiqui had taken a sarcasm on traditional Bollywood films filled with romance and said that some actors always roam around the trees and repeat the same kind of romance. He described it as ‘Clich’ and said that romance is more difficult and interesting in real life. Rishi Kapoor did not like this and he reacted to it.

Rishi Kapoor, who was famous as a romantic hero in his time, reacted sharply to Nawazuddin’s statement. He said that romance and singing singing is not easy, but it is also an art. Describing Nawazuddin as an average actor, he said that neither he will get a chance to play romantic roles nor he is able to do so.

Nawazuddin reacted calmly to Rishi Kapoor’s comment and clarified his statement. He said that he meant that when an actor plays the same role for decades, he seems naturally easy. Nawazuddin also said that he does not want to limit himself to romantic characters, but if he gets a chance to play such a character, he will present it in a different way.
Significantly, the two actors worked together in the film Manto and Family. However, despite this dispute, Nawazuddin maintained respect for Rishi Kapoor and described himself as his biggest fan.
