New Delhi:
Yashvardhan Ahuja, son of Bollywood actor Govinda, is preparing to debut in Bollywood in 2025. In such a situation, questions are being raised whether he trusts his father’s advice in matters of career. Talking about this, Chichi’s wife Sunita Ahuja revealed that “nobody actually listens to his advice”. Recently Sunita was seen discussing this issue on YouTube channel Hindi Rush. He said, “Nobody listens to Govinda’s advice because he is still stuck in the 90s.”
Sunita said, “I give right and relevant advice for 2024. We keep asking them to move forward from the 90s.” While talking about Govinda’s lifestyle and her popular collab with director David Dhawan, Sunita also talked about the differences between them after 18 successful films.
Blaming external influences, Sunita said, “At that time, actors had many ‘chamchas’ (sycophants) who would create misunderstandings and jealousy about their collabs, which would create negativity. I associate myself with such people. Encircling them only increases their negativity.” Amidst this rift, he defended David Dhawan and said that his advice given to Govinda was practical and industry-focused.
Sunita revealed, “David didn’t say anything wrong. He said solo-hero films were successful in the 90s but that’s not the case now. Today they would hardly be successful.”
He said, “David advised to keep pace with the changing trends as the solo-hero films of the 90s are rarely successful anymore. He also recommended second-lead roles as Govinda did in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Did it successfully.”
Sunita criticized Govinda for misleading people by flattering them. He said, “They provoked him by saying ‘You are a hero’. I feel angry how these people have damaged his career.”
