At least four policemen were killed in an attack in Nushki district of Balochistan. ARY News gave this information on Saturday. According to district officials, the firing incident took place in Garibabad area, where unidentified armed attackers opened fire on police patrol van, resulting in four security personnel. The attackers managed to escape from the spot. The security forces reached the spot and rushed the bodies to the local hospital. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti strongly condemned the attack and expressed deep grief over the loss of life and property.
In a statement, the Chief Minister expressed condolences to the bereaved families and said to punish those responsible for this attack. Bugti condemned this attack, calling it a cowardly act and reiterated that such efforts to disrupt peace and development process in Balochistan would not be successful. He emphasized that the terrorists behind such attacks will not find any shelter in the province.
Recently, four laborers were shot dead by unidentified armed attackers in Mangochar area of Kalat district of Balochistan. According to reports, the victims have been identified as Zeeshan, Khalid, Dilawar Hussain and Muhammad Amin and all are residents of Sadikabad, Punjab. According to ARY News, he was attacked by armed people riding motorcycle during Iftar. It is said that the victims were digging tubewells for a local landlord.
According to Dawn’s report, last month unidentified gunmen removed seven people going to Punjab by a passenger bus in Barkhan district. There has been a flood of attacks by targeting people coming from Punjab in Balochistan. According to Dawn, in April 2024, nine people were forcibly killed by a bus near Nashki in two separate incidents, while two laborers from Punjab were shot in Ketch.
