Mimoh Chakraborty’s acting career was not good. Mithun Chakraborty and Yogita Bali’s son Mimoh started their acting career in 2008. But the film flopped on the first day. In an interview recently, Mimoh, which is now known as Mahaakshaya, recalled how bad his first failure. In an interview with digital commentary, Mimoh remembered how his debut was possible with the help of Salman Khan and his family.
Mimoh said, “Salman Bhai has helped me a lot. He has always been with me. He is like my elder brother. He loves my father very much. Salman Bhai advised my father that we should show Jimi’s teaser in theaters with his film partner. The partner was released at that time. The film’s title was given by Jimmy Sohail Khan.”
The trailer of Jimmy was linked to Salman’s partner and the positive response to it forced Mimoh to think that the film would be a hit. But the actor said that after the release of the film, he realized the reality.
Impact of Jimmy fail at box office
“I went to the theater to see the partner with my whole family. The partner was houseful, Govinda was also returning with it and when the teaser came, people became silent but after 5 seconds they started clapping. I was 24 years old, I felt that my time has come, people saw my dance and I started dancing and dancing. I was a good sky. But after the release of the film, the phone stopped ringing, the check bounced – I felt that my life was over at that time. They said.
Jimmy, made under the direction of Raj N Sippy, was also Vivana Singh and Rahul Dev. The film grossed just ₹ 1.86 crore at the box office. After this, Mimoh appeared in some films but she was all flops, due to which she got a little work till the mid -2010s.
Mimoh returns to acting
In 2023, Mimoh returned to Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s supporting role in Jogira Sara Ra Ra. After this, he appeared in the Telugu film Nenekkadunna earlier this year. The actor was recently seen in Netflix Series Khaki: The Bengal Chapter, including Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet, Saswata Chatterjee, Ritwik Bhowmik, Chitrangada Singh, Adil Zafar Khan and Parambrata Chatterjee.
