The Supreme Court on Wednesday questioned the parties and said that due to the announcement of free schemes during the elections, people are avoiding working and not taking part in the development of the country. Justice BR Gawai said, “It is unfortunate that due to the things found for free …. people are avoiding working. They are getting ration for free. They are getting money without doing anything without doing anything. . ”

The bench said this

The bench said, “We understand your goodwill towards people, but will it not be better to make them part of the main stream of the society and give a chance to participate in the development of the country.” A bench of Justice BR Gavai and Justice Augustine George Christ said this while hearing a case related to the right of shelter for the homeless persons.

Next hearing will be held after six weeks

Attorney General R Venkataramani told the Supreme Court that the central government is in the process of finalizing the urban poverty alleviation mission. Its purpose is to solve major issues including shelters for urban homeless. In response, the Supreme Court said that you should tell us how long this mission will be finalized. The court has kept the next hearing of the case after six weeks.

Supreme Court has commented on free schemes earlier also

Let me tell you that this is not the first time that the Supreme Court has surrounded the Center on free schemes. Last year, the court had asked the Center and Election Commission that the Political Party always announces free schemes before the elections. Political parties depend on free schemes to get more votes and an example of this has also been seen in the recent Delhi elections.
