Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met the US Vice President JD Vance and his Indian -origin wife Usha and sons Ivan and Vivek, on the sidelines of the AI Action Summit in Paris. Modi posted pictures of meeting with Vance family on ‘X’. He wrote, “There was a great meeting with the US Vice President JD Vance and his family. We had a very good conversation on various subjects. He was very happy to attend the birthday celebration of his son Vivek. ”
Earlier, in a video shared by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Modi is seen having bilateral talks with Vance in Paris, while Usha is watching all this. The meeting took place soon after Vance’s address at the summit. In his address, the US Vice President welcomed Modi’s positive stance on AI as co-chairman of the conference with France.
Vance said, ‘I appreciate Prime Minister Modi. AI (artificial intelligence) will facilitate people and make them more productive. It will not replace humans, it will never take place of humans.
Vance meeting with Modi was held after another bilateral meeting of the Prime Minister with Estonian President Alar Karis at the summit held in Paris.
Modi also posted pictures of meeting with both leaders on ‘X’. He wrote, “There was a very meaningful meeting with President of Estonia, Mr. Alar Karis, on the sidelines of the AI Action Summit in Paris. India’s relations with Estonia are increasing significantly in the last few years. We discussed ways to promote relationships in business, technology, culture and other fields. ”
The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that the Prime Minister invited the Estonian government and companies to watch opportunities in India’s development story and take advantage of programs like ‘Digital India’.
Modi also shared a picture of UN Secretary -General Antonio Gutaras on ‘X’, in which he is seen shaking hands with Gutaras. He wrote, ‘I was happy to meet UN Secretary -General Antonio Gutaras in Paris.’
The Prime Minister will also hold bilateral talks with Macron on Tuesday.
