Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding immediate calling a special session of both the houses of Parliament. This demand has been made in view of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which has shocked the entire country. Rahul Gandhi in his letter has termed the special session of Parliament necessary to showcase the solidarity of the country and determination of determination against terrorism.
He wrote in the letter, “Every Indian is angry with the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. In this important time, India should show that we will always be united against terrorism. The opposition believes that a special session of both houses of Parliament should be called, where the representatives of the public can show their unity and determination.” He insisted that the opposition stands shoulder to shoulder with the government on this issue and there is a need to discuss this subject in Parliament.
Rahul Gandhi in his letter also emphasized that the special session of Parliament will not only be an opportunity to show solidarity against terrorism, but it will also provide a platform to the government to discuss security measures and policies. At the same time, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding a special session of both the houses of Parliament as soon as possible. Mallikarjun Kharge in his letter has described this attack against cruel and innocent citizens.
Mallikarjun Kharge wrote in the letter, “At a time when unity and solidarity are needed most, the opposition believes that special session of both houses of Parliament is important to call immediately. This session will have a powerful demonstration of our collective resolution and will to deal with the cruel terrorist attack on innocent citizens in Pahalgam on 22 April.
