The much awaited trailer of the animated film Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama, which is coming to clash with Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force on January 24, has been released, which has created a wave of excitement among the fans and cinema lovers. A new rendition of India’s most beloved story, the film is a visual masterpiece based on Valmiki’s Ramayana. The trailer features stunning visuals and grand battle scenes that transport the audience to Ayodhya, where Prince Ram was born. Mithila, where he married Sita. The forest of Panchavati, where Rama spent his exile with Sita and Lakshmana and Lanka, where the historic battle between Lord Rama and Ravana took place, takes in all these places. All this has been beautifully presented in Japanese anime style.
Conceived by Yugo Sako and directed by Koichi Sasaki and Ram Mohan, this film is a special India-Japan joint project, in which more than 450 artists have used around 1,00,000 hand-made cels. The result is a visual masterpiece that blends the essence of Japanese art with India’s age-old storytelling traditions. Due to this, the trailer is getting love from fans on YouTube. At the same time, a user says that a seat should be left in theaters for Adipurush director Om Raut.
“This film pays tribute to one of the greatest stories ever told,” Moksh Moudgil, CEO of Geek Pictures India, said in a statement. “For many of us in India, this film has been a special part of our childhood, and now releasing it in theaters is a revival of our favorite film. I am very happy for the new generation that they are 24 Experience this film with your family and kids this January!”
This film is going to be released in Indian theaters for the first time in 4K on 24 January 2025. It will be distributed theatrically through Geek Pictures India, AA Films and Excel Entertainment.
