‘Rarely seen in life’, Richards – not Tendulkar, but this player is the greatest ODI cricketer, Sourav Ganguly said

Sourav Ganguly on Virat Kohli: Vivian Richards is seen as the greatest batsman in white ball cricket. The whole world was surprised to see the way West Indies’ Vivian Richards batted in his career. Even today Vivian Richards is considered the most dangerous batsman in world cricket. But former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has called not Vivian Richards but some other batsman as the greatest batsman of white ball cricket.

The player whom Sourav has described as the greatest ODI cricketer is not Sachin Tendulkar. Ganguly has called former Indian captain Virat Kohli the greatest batsman of white ball cricket (Greatest White-Ball Player in ODI). Ganguly spoke about Kohli during the felicitation ceremony of Bengal Under-15 women players organized by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and described him as the greatest cricketer of white ball cricket.

“Virat Kohli is a player who comes once in a lifetime,” Ganguly said. “Like Jhulan Goswami and Mithali Raj are for women’s cricket, Virat Kohli is a player who comes once in a lifetime in men’s cricket.” Get it. It is incredible to score 80 international centuries in your career. For me, he is probably the greatest white-ball player in the world.”

Apart from this, Ganguly also talked about Kohli’s form and gave his opinion on his performance in the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy and said, “I was really surprised by the way he batted after scoring the century in Perth. Earlier he was struggling here, but after scoring a century in Perth, I thought this would be a big series for him, but every player in the world has his own weaknesses and strengths.

Taking his point further, the former Indian captain said, “There is no player in the world to whom this does not happen. It is about how you adapt to your weaknesses over time while playing against great bowlers. ”

Ganguly feels that Kohli will return to form

The former captain talked about Virat Kohli’s future and said, “I still feel that Virat Kohli still has a lot of cricket left in him. The tour of England will be a big challenge for him. I am very proud of his form in the Champions Trophy.” “Not worried because, as I said, he’s been the best white-ball player in the world for a long time.”

Let us tell you that the ODI series between India and England is going to start from 6th February. The Indian team will play a three-match ODI series against England. After this the Indian team will leave for Dubai to play the Champions Trophy.
