Ravichandran Ashwin Big Statement on Rohit Sharma Form: Former veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin said that this is a ‘difficult time’ for Rohit Sharma, who is in bad rhythm and the Indian captain will have to try to silence the critics by performing strongly with his bat before the upcoming Champions Trophy. Rohit had taken himself out of the team from the last Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia due to poor rhythm. Rohit has scored just 166 runs in all the formats in all formats. He said, ‘As a cricketer, I understand what round Rohit is going through. This is not easy. I pray to perform well and score a century in this series.
India won the first ODI against England by four wickets in Nagpur on Thursday. The second ODI will be played in Cuttack on Sunday. Meanwhile, Ashwin praised Ravindra Jadeja fiercely and insisted that this all -rounder is more talented than him.
