
A Pakistani citizen attacked Dubai’s bakery after shouting religious slogans in which two people from Telangana died and one was injured. This claim has been made by the relatives of both the deceased. Ashtapu Premasagar (35) of Son village in Nirmal district was murdered with a sword on 11 April. His uncle A Poshtty told the news agency PTI this. The alleged incident took place in the bakery where both the victims worked.
Premsagar was working in a bakery for the last five-six years. Poshetty said that he had last met his family two years ago. Premasagar has left his wife and two children behind him. Poetty said that his family members have not been told about it and they have urged the government to help him to bring his body to India.
A third person, named Sagar, was injured in the attack and has been admitted to the hospital. His wife Bhavani gave this information while talking to the media in Nizamabad district.
Expressing grief over the killings, Union Minister Reddy said that he has spoken to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to help in bringing the bodies to India. The Union Minister said in a post on X, “Two Telugu youths of Telangana in Dubai, Ashtapu Premsagar in Nirmal district and the brutal murder of Srinivas in Nizamabad district were deeply shocked. Talked to Honorable External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar ji on this matter and he has assured to fulfill the support and immediate body of the body.”
Thanking S Jaishankar for help, he said that the Ministry of External Affairs will also work to ensure fast justice in the matter. At the same time, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Sanjay Kumar expressed grief and said that he has spoken to the officials of the Ministry of External Affairs and the officials of the Union Home Ministry are in touch with him.
He said on X, “Both Telangana workers were deeply saddened by the tragic murder of Ashtapu Prem Sagar and Srinivas, who was brutally attacked by a Pakistani citizen at the Modern Bakery LLC in Dubai on 11 April.”
He said, through the Indian Consulate, Dubai Police has been urged to “accelerate the process”. He has thanked the Ministry of External Affairs for a sharp response in promptly pursuing the matter.
