House leader and BJP national president JP Nadda said that Bhimrao Ambedkar has written in the Constitution that there will be no reservation on the basis of religion, but the Congress government in a state of South India has made a provision of 4% reservation for minorities in public contracts. I demand that this order be withdrawn. Seeing the growing controversy, DK Shivkumar immediately issued a statement and clarified that he has never said anything to change the constitution.
Describing the allegations of the ruling party as baseless, the Congress has given notice of breach of privilege against Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiran Rijiju and BJP President and House leader JP Nadda in Rajya Sabha. In the notice, Kiran Rijiju has been accused that he broke the statement of DK Shivkumar and presented it in the Rajya Sabha.
In his response to the BJP’s allegations, DK Shivkumar, Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, said that DK Shivkumar has not made any statement as false habitual and intentional BJP is speaking, while Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said that no one can change the constitution made by Baba Saheb Ambedkar. No one can abolish reservation. We traveled to India from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to protect the Constitution. At present, BJP and Congress are adamant on their alleged statement of DK Shivkumar, in such a situation, this political dispute will end soon. It does not see the possibility.
