Retired colonel started discussing Waqf law, cab driver beat up, video of incident came out

In Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, the video of a retired colonel rank official has now surfaced of the fight over the Waqf Act, which is becoming quite viral. The police have registered a case against 2 accused on the complaint of the retired colonel of the army. This case is five days old. It is alleged that the cab driver assaulted retired colonel Surya Prakash Singh regarding the Waqf Act. Surya Prakash Singh informed the police about the assault with him and lodged a complaint against the accused. According to the FIR registered, the retired Colonel had an argument with the Ola driver about the Waqf Act. Meanwhile, the Ola driver was agitated and he suddenly attacked the retired colonel.

According to the victim retired Colonel, the accused also called his colleagues and they also beat him a lot. He even escaped from the spot with money. As soon as the incident was reported, the police reached the spot and took them to the hospital.

What happened that day

The victim told the police that she had booked a cab to go from Kanupar Nagar to Lucknow at around 10.00 pm. On the way, there was a debate in the issue of Waqf Board with the driver. When he opposed this, the driver put some messages from a mobile phone towards his live location share in a WhatsApp group. As soon as the car went ahead, some people stopped the car.

The victim retired colonel said, hit me with stones and sticks. After which I fell unconscious and when I came to my senses, I found myself among these people. He took out my important documents and three thousand rupees in cash which was kept in the back pocket of my pant.
