Saif Ali Khan was injured in a knife attack at his Bandra residence on Thursday. After the attack, he is admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. This incident happened in the morning when a thief entered Saif’s house. He confronted Saif and a clash broke out between the two, in which Saif suffered several knife wounds. After emergency surgery, doctors have confirmed that Saif is out of danger, but he has been kept under observation. Meanwhile, details of Saif’s health insurance claim got leaked on Twitter, due to which people are expressing their displeasure over the violation of privacy. The leaked health insurance is from Niva Bupa Health Insurance.

Mint has confirmed this claim. The leaked document reportedly shows that Saif had claimed Rs 35.95 lakh for his treatment, of which Rs 25 lakh has already been approved by the insurer. The document also contains sensitive details, including their member ID, diagnosis, room category and discharge date on January 21.

In a statement, Niva Bupa expressed concern over the incident and said, the recent unfortunate incident with actor Saif Ali Khan is extremely worrying. We wish him a speedy and safe recovery. Saif is one of our policyholders. Upon his hospitalization, a cashless pre-authorization request was sent to us and we have sanctioned an initial amount to start the treatment. Once we receive the final bills after the treatment, they will be settled as per the terms and conditions of the policy. We stand with Saif Ali Khan and his family in this critical time.
