Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed at five places. He had injuries on his back, wrist, neck, shoulder and elbow. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai in an autorickshaw by his friend Officer Zaidi. This has come to light from Saif’s medical report.
A Bollywood actor was stabbed repeatedly by an accused who had entered his house to steal. His alleged attacker, Sariful Islam, who had entered India illegally from Bangladesh last year and had assumed the alias of Bijoy Das, was arrested on Saturday from Thane near Mumbai. At least 20 teams of Mumbai Police had been conducting a search operation for three days.
The report said, “The size of the injuries ranged from 0.5 cm to 15 cm. On the night of the attack, Saif’s friend Officer Zaidi took him to Lilavati Hospital at 4:11 am and completed the formalities.”
Saif Ali Khan (54) has worked in more than 70 films and television serials. He returned home from the hospital on Tuesday.
Mumbai Police has deployed two constables outside Saif’s Bandra residence. A senior police officer said, “We have made temporary police security arrangements outside Saif Ali Khan’s Satguru Sharan Bhawan in Bandra West. Two constables from Bandra police station will be deployed there in two shifts. CCTV cameras and video grills will be installed as security. have also been installed.”
Saif Ali has expressed gratitude towards autorickshaw driver Bhajan Singh Rana, who took him to the hospital on the night of the attack last week.
Rana, who lives with four other roommates in a one-room flat in Mumbai’s Khar, said, “People are saying that he (Saif) has given me Rs 50,000 or Rs 1,00,000, but I would not like to tell how much.” The amount is there. He has requested me not to share this information and I will keep my promise to him, whatever happens, it is a matter between him and me.”
The autorickshaw driver got a chance to meet Saif and his family on Tuesday, shortly before Khan was discharged from the hospital.
The autorickshaw driver said, “I met him (Saif) in the hospital yesterday (Tuesday). He thanked me for taking me to the hospital. He praised me. I got blessings from him and his family. He (Khan) I met my mother (Sharmila Tagore) and she gave me whatever money she felt was right and said that whenever I needed help, she would be there.”
