Salman Khan once talked about those actors whom he considered big stars. He had said that for him ‘Rajesh Khanna and Kumar Gaurav’ are big stars. In an old interview in 2017, Salman had said that if the stardom was compared, he felt that he did not even have 10 percent of these actors. Salman also praised Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan.
Rajesh Khanna gave 15 consecutive solo super-hits between 1969 and 1972. He debuted in 1966 with Aakhri Khat. This was India’s first official Oscar entry in 1967. He worked in many films including Aradhana, Kati Patang, Guddi, Anand, Bawarchi. He was seen with many other stars in Namak Haram. Kumar Gaurav, son of actor Rajendra Kumar, became an overnight star with the film Love Story in the early 1980s. Later he was seen in Teri Kasam, Star, Naam and Kaante.
In an interview with news agency PTI, Salman had said, “I don’t think anyone is bigger than Dilip Kumar. After that there is Amitabh Bachchan, he is still working and is everywhere. You think we So (it’s not true)… I think there is no one bigger than Rajesh Khanna and the other one was Kumar Gaurav. Regarding being called a ‘superstar’, Salman had said, “Acting is just a job. I live every moment of my life and perform my best in every moment.
