Director AR Murugados’s Salman Khan starrer upcoming film ‘Sikander’ is set for release in theaters. Meanwhile, the director spoke to the news agency IANS. During this, he told how he works for his films? He also talked about the film ‘Ghajini’ released in 2008. Told why in the film, Kalpana (Asin) dies without knowing the real identity of her lover Sanjay Singhania (Aamir Khan).
The director told IANS about this, “When I wrote the script, I thought, ‘What if Kalpana comes to know that she is the real Sanjay? How will she react to it?’ I came to the conclusion that this a small addition in the script would reduce the effect of vengeance for Sanjay’s ghajini. ”
The director also used Kalpana’s innocence to carry forward the feelings of the audience, which does not know that Sanjay Singhania is a celebrity.
The director further said, “Sanjay had a lot to tell him, had to disclose his identity, but he could not do all this because not only did Kalpana die before he told him, but he also had a memory loss after that incident. These two things increase his passion to take revenge and make it real.”
The filmmaker said, “If Kalpana came to know about the real identity of Aamir’s character, we would not have been discussing this scene, the film has been released for 16 years and yet everyone talks about it, as a writer and director I consider it to be a well done.”
AR Murugados has worked with some of the biggest superstars of Indian cinema, including Ajit Kumar in ‘Dhina’, Chiranjeevi in ’Stalin’, ‘Ghajini’ (both Tamil and Hindi versions) Surya and Aamir Khan in ‘Thuppaki’, Thalapati Vijay in ‘Thuppaki’, ‘Holiday: A Solzer is Never of Duty’ and Akshay Kumar in ‘Holiday’ and ‘Sikandar’.
The director said, “For superstars, we have the responsibility of satisfying their fans and business. Therefore, we cannot cheat fans and we can’t even show regular or old things. With all the big stars, you have to walk in their way as a filmmaker, but this is a little different and the same challenge. Some dialogues can be long, so we can discuss the dialogue before the camera can be discussed.
He also explained how he does action in his films, he said, “When we go on the set to film the action sequence, we should discuss, ‘Why this action?’ Is the hero fighting for his mother, sister, girlfriend or someone else, so if something happens to the mother, the action will be done in a different way. ”
He added, “Apart from this, the placement of action sequences is very important, if it comes in the first half, it will not have a deep impact on the audience, we cannot fight the climax in the first half. Also, the mood of the scene is also very important, if the mood is made properly, a slap is also enough. If the mood is not made properly, then the audience will be bored.”
He added, “I am originally a writer and director, so I know better than someone else. The work starts six months or perhaps a year before the actor joining the project for a film. Therefore, I meet the actor and tell the story. I know how will my character speak, how to sit, how to sit, how will I behave with friends, because I am living with it, because I am living with it.” Sajid Nadiadwala has produced the film ‘Alexander’, which will be released in theaters on March 28.
