CM Fadnavis hit back at Sanjay Raut
Mumbai:
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has retaliated by Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) leader Sanjay Raut’s statement on PM Modi. He said that PM Modi will continue to lead the country for the next several years. Sanjay Raut had said in a statement that the PM should retire according to the unannounced rules of the party regarding age.
Raut had claimed that Modi had gone to Nagpur on Sunday to give a message to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat that he was retiring. On this claim of Raut, Fadnavis told reporters, “We will see Modi again as Prime Minister in the next election (2029).”
Raut had claimed that Modi’s successor would come from Maharashtra. To this, Fadnavis said, ‘In our culture, when the father is alive, it is considered unfair to talk on succession. What they are talking about is Mughal culture. The time has not come to discuss it yet. During a conversation with reporters in Nagpur, senior RSS leader Suresh Bhaiyaji Joshi also dismissed the statement to Raut.
