Mumbai:
Mumbai Police has started an operation to detect missing children and women. This special campaign called Operation Research will run from 17 April to 30 May. Under this operation, the Mumbai Police will try to find girls and children. The purpose of this campaign is to find out the missing or kidnap children under 18 years of age and missing girls above 18 years of age across the city.

Under the Operation ‘Research’, the Mumbai Police will make every effort to locate and recover more and more missing children and girls at every police station level. The city police have also sought cooperation from citizens and NGOs working in the field of child welfare to ensure the success of this mission.

‘Inform if you see a suspected child’

The Mumbai Police appealed to the people to be vigilant and said that if someone sees a suspected child, then politely go to the child and inform the police immediately in case of any doubt. It can be informed to the police control room on dial 100 or child helpline number 1098 or by going to the nearest police station.

Police’s special appeal to Mumbaikar

As part of the campaign, the police have advised people to pay special attention to the children seen on railway stations, bus stands, religious places, hospitals, hotels, shops and children found on the streets or begging on the streets. Citizens are also being encouraged to report cases where minor children are found engaged in domestic work or are found walking without a guardian.
