New Delhi:
The 90s are known for superstars like Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Govinda, who achieved success by giving films like Darr to Dil To Pagal Hai. But there was one actor who achieved the title of superstar by becoming an overnight sensation in the 90s. Recently something happened that he overshadowed even Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan. But the journey of success in his career did not last long and he gradually moved away from the world of acting. Whereas today the situation is such that even though he is seen in the world of OTT, people are not able to recognize him.

This person is none other than actor Rahul Roy, who made himself an overnight star by debuting with the film Aashiqui in 1990. After this he became a well-known name of Bollywood. The situation was such that he was seen in films like Pyaar Ka Saaya and Junoon. At the age of 24, his popularity gave a tough competition to even the Khans of Bollywood. While his hairstyle and charming personality won the hearts of fans.

Rahul Roy’s journey of success did not last long and after his 1992 Junoon, 15 films continued to flop. Afsana was released in 2001 before he took a break in acting. Five years later, in 2006, he returned to the world of acting. However, he was able to achieve limelight like before.

To extend his professional journey in films for the last time, Rahul Roy participated in Bigg Boss in 2006 and it proved to be good for him. Due to this, he came into limelight and became the favorite of the fans, due to which he won the trophy of winner of Bigg Boss 1.

Rahul Roy had a bad phase in his personal life when he suffered a heart attack and then a brain stroke. Despite receiving treatment, he struggled to pay the hospital bills due to financial difficulties. Whereas Bollywood star Salman Khan quietly stepped forward to bear the expenses, which Rahul revealed in an interview. In 2020, he returned to the film industry after recovering from brain stroke. He is seen on the OTT platform with films and a mini-series.
