Bollywood superstar Sharmila Tagore told in the year 2023 that she fought with cancer. The fans were shocked by the actress that the public did not even let the public get to know about which time she went through. But now Sharmila Tagore’s daughter Soha Ali Khan talked about the mother’s era and shared some details. Soha Ali Khan said in Nayandeep Rakshit’s YouTube channel, “My family has suffered a lot. We all have gone through stressful situations, as everyone does.”
He further said, “My mother was one of the very few people who were detected lung cancer on stage zero, and no chemotherapy, nothing. It was removed from her body and now she is completely fine.”
Those who do not know, let us tell you that Sharmila Tagore’s health came to know about Koffee with Karan in 2023 when the actress arrived with son Saif Ali Khan. Host Karan Johar revealed that Sharmila Tagore was the first choice for the role of Shabana Azmi in Rocky and Rani’s love story. He said, I had offered the character played by Shabanaji to Sharmila ji. She was the first choice. But due to her health at that time, she could not say yes. This is my regrets.
To this, Sharmila Tagore said, “Kovid was at the same time. They (family) were not really struggling with it, we were not vaccinated. After my cancer … he did not want me to take the risk.”
Significantly, Sharmila Tagore recently appeared in the Bengali film Puratwan. Earlier in 2023 she appeared in Gulmohar with Manoj Bajpayee, who got three National Award Best Feature Film in Hindi and Best Screenplay (dialogue).
