Sourav Ganguly Makes Big Statemennt on MS Dhoni CSK Captain: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly believes that Mahendra Singh Dhoni should play only as the captain of Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. Ganguly said that Dhoni appears in different colors after captaincy. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) announced to make Dhoni a captain for the remaining matches of the IPL 2025 (IPL 2025) season when regular captain Rituraj Gaikwad was out due to fracture of the elbow. Dhoni has been criticized in this session due to poor form due to getting down in batting order and knee problems.
Ganguly, however, said on the sidelines of a promotional program here, “I believe that if MS Dhoni has to play for CSK, he will have to be a captain. Because he is seen in a different color when he captains.”
Dhoni has returned as a captain at a time when Chennai Super Kings have lost four consecutive matches. It will also be the first match of Dhoni as captain after winning the fifth title in 2023.
