Danish Kneria Statement on Shahid Afridi: A huge controversy has arisen over the recent statements of former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi. Especially the statements given about the Pahalgam terror attack are being severely criticized. Afridi made baseless allegations against the Indian media and the army, saying that India has accused him of attacking Pakistan without any evidence. Talking about solving problems through negotiations, he said that cricket should be kept away from politics.

Afridi also alleged that the media started wrongly publicity against Pakistan as soon as the attack in India took place. Comparing Indian media to Bollywood, he said that stories are made without evidence. Afridi also said that Pakistan is in favor of peace and does not support terrorism.

Danish Kaneria targeted Afridi

After these statements of Afridi, former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has attacked him strongly. Kaneria said through social media platform X (first Twitter) that Afridi has always promoted radical ideology. Kaneria alleged that when he was part of the Pakistan team, Afridi pressured him to adopt Islam and also refused to eat with him. Kaneria described this behavior as derogatory.

‘I am a Hindu and I am proud’ – Danish Kaneria

Danish Kaneria wrote in another post, “I am a Hindu and I am proud of it. I played for the country in which I was born. Whether Hindus are in the world, they are loyal to their country. The common people of Pakistan gave me love, but the rulers there treated me the same which was done with my community at the time of partition.”

Pakistan also targeted

Kaneria also lashed out at Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. He said that when someone calls terrorists a ‘freedom fighter’, he directly accepts state -sponsored terrorism. He also tweeted about the Pahalgam terror attack and said that targeting Hindus is the result of a planned mentality, and the victims should get justice. On the Balochistan issue, Kaneria criticized Pakistan and said that it is shameful to stand with those who oppressed Baloch people.
