In a gurudwara in Vancouver, Canada, Khalistanis vandalized overnight and painted the pro-Khalistan slogans on the walls i.e. graphity. Similarly, Lakshmi Narayan Temple was also attacked in British Columbia province and Khalistan was written with black paint on the wall.
Attack on gurudwara in Vancouver
The Khalsa Diwan Society or KDS Gurudwara of Vancouver has been attacked, known as Ross Street Gurudwara. The Gurdwara administration has shared photographs on the official account, in which the word “Khalistan” is visible from spray-paints at several places on the wall around the parking place of the Sikh temple.
Later, in a statement, KDS said, “A small group of Sikh separatists advocating Khalistan spoiled our holy walls with divisive slogans like ‘Khalistan Zindabad’.” It states that it is “a painful moment mourning in our community history because we have gathered to celebrate Khalsa Sajna Day – one day which is a symbol of the strength, unity and flexibility of the Sikhs.”
Laxmi Narayan temple attacked in British Columbia
The Lakshmi Narayan temple in the British Columbia province was also attacked by Khalistani elements and wrote slogans on its walls. Canadian Hindu Chamber of Commerce has shared this video on social media platform. After this, Canadian MP Chandra Arya from Ottawa Napian urged Hindu and Sikh communities in Canada to “take steps” and demand “decisive” government action against Khalistani extremists after several incidents of damaging religious places. Arya said that the slogans written on the walls of the temple are the “growing memory” of the “growing effect” of Khalistani extremism.
