SP’s Rajya Sabha member Ramji Lal Suman’s house attacked, Akhilesh condemns

People associated with the right -wing organization in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, attacked the house of Samajwadi Party (SP) Rajya Sabha member Ramji Lal Suman, who made a controversial statement about Rana Sanga on Wednesday. According to the police, many people have been detained in the case. Officials claimed that the police tried to stop the attackers at several places in the city and their efforts helped to avoid a major incident.

The incident happened when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present in Agra. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, condemning the incident, targeted Adityanath and his government in the case. Karni Sena President Suraj Pal Singh Amu demanded the SP’s Rajya Sabha member and his party chief Akhilesh Yadav, who made controversial remarks on Rana Sanga. Amu also admitted that his workers should not have taken the law into their own hands.

Ramji Lal Suman’s son Ranjit alleged that Karni Sena workers entered his house near Hariparvat intersection and broke the glass of the windows. He said that the attackers with sticks and sticks and swords also vandalized cars parked in the premises.

In a video of this incident, some policemen are seen clapping with the crowd. Ranjit said, “Abusive language has been used against my father for many days on social media. For two days, it was being threatened that the house would be siege.

Ranjit alleged that the police and the administration were aware of this, but they did not take any action, but protected the threatened ones. Several hours after the attack, Assistant Police Commissioner Sanjeev Tyagi told reporters about the incident that many people have been detained. He claimed that the police tried to stop the attackers at several places in the city and their efforts helped to avoid a major incident.

He said, ‘The crowd was angry with a statement of the SP MP. People had reached the MP’s house under the banner of Karni Sena, the police had put obstructive in many places to stop them and they were stopped at different places. Some were also taken into custody.

Tyagi said, ‘The police team was posted at the MP’s residence where some people arrived hiding their identity and threw stones and vandalized the house of the honorable MP. The police used mild force to stop them, detained them and sent them back. Further legal proceedings are going on.

Regarding the number of people detained, the official said that they have not yet been counted as the detained people have been kept in different places. He claimed, ‘The police tried to stop him in many places, but they hid their identity and reached the MP’s house from different routes. Due to the efforts of the police, a major incident was averted.

Recently a video of Suman was revealed, in which he can be heard saying that Rana Sanga was a ‘traitor’, who invited Babur to defeat Ibrahim Lodi. Rana Sanga was the ruler of Mewar from 1508 to 1528.

Referring to Suman’s remarks, Karni Sena chief Amu demanded that the Rajya Sabha member and the head of his party should apologize. He claimed that Suman’s remarks have insulted the hero who defeated the Mughals.

In a video shared on social media, Amu said, ‘Karni Sena workers should not take the law in their hands, keep their opposition democratic and support the police and administration. As far as the loss of the MP’s house is concerned, we will provide them new chairs and change the windshield of damaged cars. ”

He said, “Akhilesh Yadav and Ramji Lal Suman should immediately apologize. We will continue our opposition in a peaceful manner. If MPs have the freedom to speak, then we also have the right.

The Karni Sena, active in states like Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, has been involved in violent protests during the controversy arising over the film ‘Padmavat’ and the demand for caste-based reservation for the Rajput community.

Meanwhile, Aparna Yadav, Deputy Chairman of Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission, has demanded resignation from SP Rajya Sabha member Ramjilal Suman to comment on Rana Sanga.

Aparna Yadav said to ‘PTI-Bhasha’, ‘Whatever he (Suman) said on Rana Sanga, there is a lack of historical evidence. It seems more attempt to keep itself in discussion. They should either apologize or resign to claim that Rana Sanga invited Babur to come here and rule India.

Aparna is the daughter -in -law of SP founder and former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav. He said, ‘There is no historical evidence to support the claim of SP MP. I think he and the entire opposition should increase their knowledge about the history of India which is full of stories of many kings who sacrificed their lives for their land and protected India’s sovereignty.

At the same time, SP President Akhilesh Yadav has targeted Chief Minister Adityanath and his government over the attack on the MP’s residence. Akhilesh Yadav said in a post on ‘X’, “Despite the presence of the Chief Minister in Agra, when a violent incident of sabotage by some people cannot be stopped by some people at the house of an MP of PDA (backward Dalit and minority class), then ‘zero tolerance’ has to be zero.”

Describing Adityanath as’ outgoing CM ‘, the SP chief said in the post,’ Is the impact of the Chief Minister decreasing day by day or is no one listening to ‘Outgoing CM’? If he is still the Chief Minister, then immediately take action and identify the culprits with AI (artificial intelligence), otherwise it will be assumed that all this has happened against the PDA MP with their permission. Condemnable! ”

Yadav earlier said in another post, “SP believes in social justice and establishment of egalitarian society. We also want to honor every person weakened weakly. Our aim is not to insult a history man. SP is not questioning the valor and patriotism of King Rana Sanga of Mewar.

Taking a dig at the ruling party, he said, “The BJP has always used some topics of history to take political advantage and divide the country on a religious-caste basis.” Our MP has tried to give the example of just one -sided history and an examples of one -sided interpretation. ”

He said, ‘None of our efforts are to insult Rajput society or any other society. In today’s time, yesterday, the events of ‘history’ cannot be explained. The decisions of Raj Kaj were taken according to the demand for the circumstances of their time. ”

The SP chief said in the post, “Today’s democratic system cannot run based on the events of history. The BJP government should improve its discriminatory habit and pay some attention to the livelihood, health and safety of the people. BJP is a rift. ”
