Veteran actor and film director Manoj Kumar died on Friday (April 4) at the age of 87. The entire industry is saddened by the death of an icon and star. A prayer meeting was held in Mumbai on Sunday in memory of the star and his legacy. Many Bollywood stars including Aamir Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Farhan Akhtar attended it. Many stars appeared to attend the prayer meeting in the video shared by Papraji account. Aamir Khan was seen getting off his car to greet the family of the late star. He wore this gray kurta and fed jeans. Jaya Bachchan reached the prayer meeting in the white churidar set. He greeted the family and relatives with folded hands and went inside the entry gate.
Amitabh Bachchan was not seen in this program. However, Amitabh Bachchan was present at the Star’s funeral on Saturday (April 5), where he also met writer Salim Khan. Amitabh moved towards Salim Khan, who smiled after seeing his old partner. He shook hands while Amitabh held Salim’s hand and started walking. Salim called him and the two talked to each other a little and then hugged. Amitabh’s son-actor Abhishek Bachchan also met Salim Khan and met.
Meanwhile, some other stars seen in the prayer meeting included Rakesh Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Krishika Lulla, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Isha Deol and singer Sonu Nigam.
Manoj Kumar dies
Manoj Kumar died on Friday 4 April due to age related problems at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. He was 87 years old. On Saturday, he was cremated with full state honors and three cannon salutes. Manoj was known as ‘Bharat Kumar’ among his fans for his characters in the series of patriotic films like Shaheed, Upkar, East and West and Roti, Clour and House. He is survived by two sons and wife Shashi.
