Startups completed Rs 35,950 crore with the help of government e-marketplace

Under the social development of the nation, the Government e-Marketplace (GEM) has enabled startups to complete an order of Rs 35,950 crore. Official information was given about this on Sunday. The share of women entrepreneurs is 8 percent in the total seller Aadhaar at GEM, with a total of 1,77,786 enterprise-verified women’s micro and small enterprises (MSE) registered on the GEM portal, who have completed orders of a total of Rs 46,615 crore.

According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the latest figures reflect important activity in the market, with 162,985 primary buyers, 228,754 secondary buyers and 11,006 product categories and 332 service categories with a strong ecosystem with divers range. In the last financial year, the order quantity reached 62,86,543, with an order price of Rs 4,03,305 crore.

Continuing its speed, 61,23,691 orders worth Rs 4,52,594 crore have already been registered in the current financial year. The ministry said that 37.87 percent of the total order price has been given to micro and small enterprises (MSEs), which outlines the role of GEM in strengthening local businesses and promoting intellectual economic growth.

The commitment of the ‘autonomous’ portal is to increase the ease of doing business and set up market contacts directly for annual public procurement for women entrepreneurs, micro and small enterprises (MSE), self -help groups (SHGs) and youth, especially the backward classes of the society.

‘Startup Runway 2.0’ is an opportunity to display its innovative product and service in front of government buyers for startups and to participate in public procurement.

The Government e-Market Place has created a dedicated marketplace category for all startups, in which they can listen to their products and service. Regardless of their DPIIT-scripture. This platform startup provides all marketplace features that are available to regular vendors and aims to promote “Make in India” purchase from India’s startup.
