Stock Market Opening: The ongoing selling in the Indian stock market came to a halt today. On Monday, January 14, the stock market started with a slight rise. BSE Sensex opened with a slight gain of 5.74 points at the level of 76,335.75. At the same time, NSE Nifty opened at 23,165.90 with a gain of 79.95 points.
There was a boom in the initial trading in the market. BSE Sensex rose by 387.15 points to reach the level of 76,717.16, while NSE Nifty was trading at 23,201.10 with a rise of 115.15 points. During this period, there is a positive trend in the market.
Adani Power jumped more than 6%
All the shares of Adani Group opened in the green with gains. In which the maximum growth is being seen in Adani Power, Adani Green Energy and Adani Energy Solutions. Today Adani Power has jumped more than 6%.
Rs 24.69 lakh crore of investors lost in four days of decline
Due to the strong selling in the stock market for the last four days, investors have suffered a huge loss of Rs 24.69 lakh crore. With this, the Sensex has fallen by a total of 1,869.1 points or 2.39 percent in four trading sessions.
Amidst all-round selling in the market, BSE Sensex closed with a huge fall of 1,048.90 points or 1.36 percent for the fourth consecutive trading session on Monday. On Monday alone, there was a huge decline of Rs 12.61 lakh crore in investors’ capital. In this way, the total market capitalization of companies listed on BSE decreased by Rs 24,69,243.3 crore to Rs 4,17,05,906.74 crore ($4.82 lakh crore).
