Stock Market Today: Stock market rises on the second day of the new year, Sensex rises 200 points, Nifty also rises

New Delhi:
On the second trading day of the new year i.e. 2 January 2025, the Indian stock market saw a boom in early trading. Both BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened in positive territory and gradually registered further gains. In pre-opening, the Sensex opened at 78,657.52 with a gain of 150.12 points (0.19%). Nifty 50 also opened at 23,783.00 with a gain of 40.10 points (0.17%).

Market condition in early trading

After a few minutes the market became stronger. At 9:17 am, the Sensex rose by 232.52 points to 78,739.93, which is a rise of 0.30%. Nifty 50 was also seen trading at the level of 23,807.05 with a gain of 64.15 points, which is an increase of 0.27%.
