In the ‘Champions Trophy’, there were incidents of stone pelting and arson after a dispute between two sides during a procession taken out in Mhow in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh in celebration of the Indian cricket team’s title victory. A police officer gave this information.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Nimish Aggarwal told ‘PTI-Bhasha’, “In the Champions Trophy, a procession was being taken out in Mhow to celebrate India’s title victory. During this time there was an argument in some people after which the dispute increased and the two sides started throwing stones at each other.
He said that some incidents of arson occurred during the disturbance and according to preliminary information, some vehicles were damaged. Aggarwal said that on receiving information about the nuisance, the police reached the spot and pacified the situation.
He said, “The situation in Mhow is currently under control and police force has been deployed there. There is currently no information about a person being casualty during the dispute. ”
