Suryakumar Yadav’s entry in red ball format, Shivam Dubey also got a chance


Suryakumar Yadav: India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav and all -rounder Shivam Dubey have been included in the 18 -member team of Mumbai for the Ranji Trophy quarter -final match against Haryana starting on February 8. Both Suryakumar and Dubey were part of the Indian team in the recently ended five -match T20 series against England. Both of them have played one match each for 42-time champion Mumbai in the current season of Ranji Trophy. Mumbai defeated Meghalaya by an innings and 456 runs to make it to the quarter -finals. Jammu and Kashmir was the second team to make it to the knockout stage from Elite Group A.

Suryakumar played in the Ranji Trophy match against Maharashtra for Mumbai in October last year, while Dubey was part of the match played against Jammu and Kashmir which included India’s Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. Mumbai’s team lost this match.

Mumbai’s team will play their quarter -final match against Haryana at Chaudhary Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli, Rohtak. Haryana topped Group C. Mumbai has also included a new face in its team as Harsh Tanna. Harsh has played four list a matches so far.
