US President Donald Trump said on Friday that India and Pakistan would solve the relations between them. After the attack in the Kashmir region of India, tension between the two neighboring countries has increased. The attack was the worst attack in the last two decades.
Talking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump cited a historic conflict in the disputed border area and said that he knew the leaders of both countries. They will solve it in some way or the other. There is a lot of tension between Pakistan and India. But it has always been there.

US President Donald Trump said that I am very close to India and they have been fighting for a thousand years in Kashmir. Kashmir has been going on for one thousand years, perhaps even more than that. He was a bad attack (terrorist attack). There has been tension on that border for 1,500 years. This has been the same, but I am sure they will solve it in some way or the other. I know both leaders. There is a lot of tension between Pakistan and India. But it has always been there.
On Tuesday, 26 people were shot dead at a tourist place in Kashmir. India has said that Pakistani elements were involved in this attack, while Islamabad has rejected this claim.
Since the attack, relations between the two South Asian countries have deteriorated, India has sidelined the significant water sharing agreement and Pakistan has shut down its airspace for Indian airlines. Their business is also in danger. On Friday, the Indian stock markets declined due to the possibility of fresh tension. However, the market later compensated for some losses.
