‘That’s the first time’, Rohit Sharma forgot the pain of defeat after seeing the performance of these 2 players, gave a statement on the future after the match

Rohit Sharma Big Statement On Nitish Reddy And Jasprit Bumrah: In the Melbourne Test, the Indian team had to face defeat by a huge margin of 184 runs. Team India had a target of 340 runs in the second innings to win here. But they collapsed for only 155-10 runs in 79.1 overs. Opening the innings for the team, Yashasvi Jaiswal played a fighting half-century of 84 runs in 208 balls, but despite this inning, he could not avoid the defeat of the blue team. Apart from Yashasvi, the performance of Nitish Kumar Reddy and Jasprit Bumrah during the match was also praiseworthy. Especially Nitish made everyone crazy by playing a fighting innings in his first Test series itself. He managed to score a century in the first innings of the Melbourne Test. Which has also been appreciated by Rohit Sharma. After the match he said, ‘He has come here (Australia tour) for the first time. In fact the conditions here must have proved difficult for him. But he has shown his ideal character and solid technique. He has everything to succeed on such occasions. I hope he will become stronger in the future. The team will fully support him.

Not only this, captain Rohit Sharma has also praised veteran fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who achieved nine successes in the Melbourne Test. He said, ‘Absolutely fantastic.’ Here we are seeing him performing better for the last several years. He is not just a statistics person. He wants to play for the country and perform well for the team, but unfortunately he did not get much help from the other side.

Rohit Sharma saddened by the defeat

The pain of the 184-run defeat in Melbourne was clearly visible on Rohit Sharma’s face. After the match he said, ‘It is very disappointing. It is not that we had entered the field with the intention of accepting defeat. We wanted to give our full strength in the match. But unfortunately this could not happen. It will be difficult to assess only two seasons. If we look at the entire Test match, we had chances, but we could not take advantage of those things. Australia had lost six wickets for 90 runs. I know very well that the situation is very difficult for us now, but we want to play tough cricket in difficult conditions. I don’t just look at one thing. Our situation was not good in this match. We faced very tough competition from their side. Especially the partnership between their 10th and 11th ranked batsmen in the second innings. Because of which perhaps we lost the match there. We knew that scoring 340 runs would not be easy. In the last two sessions we tried to save wickets by setting the platform. But the opposition team bowled well. We wanted to achieve the target but could not set the platform. There are many ways to win a match. But we failed in that.
