Is there water on Mars too? Did there ever be a sea like earth there? Man has been looking for an answer to this question since the 19th centuryIntermittent evidence comes out which answers this question yes. One such big evidence has come out. According to a new research, 3.6 billion years ago there were sea waves on Mars, which collided with sandy beaches. This has been revealed by the analysis of the data that has been deposited by the Chinese search robot sent to Mars.
What came out in the study?
China sent a rover named Jurong on Mangal. The rover and the radar, which penetrated his land, worked for one year from May 2021 to May 2022, and detected ancient coastline on Mars. Jurong Rover used a technique called ground penetrating radar, which used to check up to 100 meters below the surface.
The radar examined the layers of the rock hidden under the ground of Mars and submitted the data. This data was compared to the data of the earth’s beach. After analysis of data, a study report appeared in the magazine of the National Academy of Sciences of America on 24 February.
Assistant Professor Benjamin Kardenus in the Department of Geology of Pen State University is the co -ordination of this research. He said, “We are looking for places on Mars which looked like ancient beaches and ancient river delta.
The authors of this study have written that apart from this, it is possible that the atmosphere of Mars was more warm and wet for millions of years.
The evidence of this research that came out is increasing the evidence that Mars used to be hot, there was an ocean along with humid climate that covered one-third of the surface of Mars. Such situations could create a favorable environment for life.
Many countries are looking for water on Mars, where is India in it?
Robots, rivers sent to Mars, study many aspects of it including the soil and environment there. At the same time, their emphasis is also on that any proof of water should be handed over there. Water discovery is an important factor because it will determine whether there was life on Mars or not. A special focus is given on the test of sedimentary rocks i.e. sedimentary rox because only evidence of water can be found in them.
